Revolutionary Spirit: DAR Veterans Honor Flight

All Female – All DAR – Veteran Honor Flight

The members of the Daughters of the American Revolution who are also veterans embody a remarkable legacy, as they are descendants of the Patriots who fought in the American Revolutionary War and have also served their country in the military. As descendants of those who fiercely championed liberty and independence, these women continue their ancestors’ legacy by protecting and upholding the freedoms won centuries ago.

The State Regent’s Project is to sponsor an All-Female Honor Flight, dedicated to recognizing and honoring the service of female veterans who are also DAR members. This additional Honor Flight will include visits to pivotal landmarks meaningful to women which may be the Vietnam Women’s Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, and the DAR home in Washington DC on 1776 D Street.

Celebrating Service

Recognizing individuals in the community through DAR awards fosters a culture of appreciation and acknowledgment, while encouraging others to make positive contributions and dedication to service.

We have chosen 13 DAR awards for this grant program. The state will reimburse chapters that present these awards to community members during this term.

250 Years of Glory Flag

The Flag of the United States of America Project

Collectively, chapters across the state are challenged to pass out the Stars and Stripes as parade flags, school or outdoor flags, flag pins and more as we move closer to America 250! with the statewide goal of giving 2,500 flags this term. This initiative also includes the presentation of 250 Flag Certificates statewide, recognizing and celebrating business and individuals in our communities that fly the Flag of the United States of America.

Fulfilling the objective of documenting 250 Veteran’s Stories for the Library of Congress’s Veteran History Project ahead of America’s 250th anniversary ensures that the sacrifices and experiences of our nation’s heroes are preserved for future generations, enriching our understanding of history, and honoring their service.

By undertaking this endeavor, the Arizona DAR chapters will pay tribute to veterans’ contributions while fostering a deeper appreciation for their bravery and resilience as integral parts of our national identity.

Chapters are challenged to record collectively across the state 250 Veteran’s Stories for the Library of Congress’s Veteran History Project.

Arizona Is Monumental

To honor the Arizona State Society’s 125th Anniversary and to remember those Daughters who came before us, establishing this state restoration fund will help refurbish the State and Chapter Historical Markers across the state for years to come. This fund will honor and preserve the rich heritage and contributions of our organization as it celebrates its remarkable 125th anniversary.
